Contract Inspection

In cases where it is feared a contamination event has occurred, only a specific number of products could have foreign material in them. These scenarios might arise from a specific foreign body being found in the product, or when it is noticed that hardware or machinery in the production process is missing some aspect of its construction. In these situations where the purchase of an inspection system might not be necessary, TDI Packsys offers contract inspection services.

Contract inspection occurs at the TDI Packsys headquarters, and uses our most advanced x-ray or metal detector systems to provide a thorough and complete inspection of the suspected product set.

The contract inspection process at TDI Packsys ensures full traceability, with detailed logs kept of all contaminants found.

Contract Inspection Process

Asset 1

1. The product set is sent to our facility, and all cases/pallets are recorded upon arrival.

2. Sample products are used to program the inspection system, and representative testing standards are used to simulate the suspected foreign material.

3. Products are inspected, with the testing standard being verified after each pallet of product to ensure detection.

4. Any foreign bodies located are kept in the product or removed, depending on the customer’s request, and the case, lot number, and a photo of the x-ray detection are recorded.

5. Once all products have been inspected, they are repacked in the same orientation as they arrived, with the products containing foreign material being separated.

6. The products are shipped back to the customer, and a formal report of the verified testing and contaminated products is provided.
